You name it...you got it little lady...

If you turn up your volume and edit out the Popsicle noises you can here her lovely croup breathing. Here is the deal...croup is generally a quick onset. Yesterday morning Maggie was 100% fine! I heard ONE barky cough over the monitor during her nap and thought, "uh oh" and sure enough when she woke up from her nap she sounded like this. During the day Croup is usually not too bad, but as soon as nighttime hits...good luck! We were up pretty much all night last night (first night) and the second and third nights tend to be the worst. It is a bit dreadful as the parent knowing darn well we are not getting sleep for another  night or two and not only that but her breathing is so scary sounding at night. urgh. On a nicer note, this is the first illness we have had in our house since Halloween (the last time she had croup). We have been blessed with a healthy sick season! and lucky for Maggie (although I feel the doc should have written this down instead of saying it out loud) the doc said that this is the only time she recommends giving Maggie whatever she wants! When she starts crying it gets worse and worse and then she generally starts freaking out because she can't breath and can't stop coughing and the cycle continues...So, Maggie's dream has come true...she gets to live it up for a few days!
